What a Bam! Bam!

SOUNDCLASH IN MARTINIQUE… BY THE BOOK!
Every clash according to the rules of the Art follows a carefully orchestrated sequence set by the event organizer!
The first WAT A BAM! BAM! night will take place on Saturday, November 11 in Martinique at a secret location.
RULE 1 — THE SEGMENTS
A segment is a technical term from the SoundMen jargon referring to a specific selection of music played either at a key moment during the night or for a set duration during a SoundClash.
At the end of each segment, the audience will vote using a decibel meter to award the victory of the segment to their chosen selector.
“ ART OF JUGGLING ”
For 20 minutes, each selector will take turns showcasing their musical identity to the crowd.

20 minutes of popular Jamaican music selection from all eras for the audience's delight!
“ FOUNDATION ”
For 15 minutes, each selector will take turns playing their best selections from artists commonly regarded as the foundations of popular Jamaican music.

Toots & The Maytals
A chronological limit has been set to 1978 to frame the Foundation terminology.
Example: The Wailers, Toots Hibbert, Max Romeo, Desmond Dekker, etc.
“ SINGA ”

Ken Boothe
For 15 minutes, each selector will take turns playing exclusively a selection of tracks performed by SINGA, meaning singers.
Example: Sanchez, Ken Boothe are SINGA.
“ DJ ”
For 15 minutes, each selector will take turns playing exclusively a selection of tracks performed by DJs or Singjays.

Sizzla
Example: U-Roy and Sizzla are respectively a DJ and a Singjay.
“ DUB FI DUB ”
The moment of anthology that every selector dreads or eagerly anticipates in a SoundClash is indeed the Dub fi Dub!
Each selector will take turns playing a track, with a total selection of 10 tracks!

“45ShootOut”
The Watabambam nights are not just simple clashes but the dawn of a unique competition worldwide in the form of a championship where each selector earns points and joins an international ranking.

Our rules are the result of thoughtful consideration and a desire to offer an event where the Massive and selectors can both see and experience a show, enjoy the music to … DANCE and, above all, say that the night was of a kind .. WAT A BAM BAM!!!
