ANTONNY DREW

“NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT HARD WORK”

Antonny Drew is caribbean singer-songwriter born and raised in Guadeloupe. Its music influence is coming from the Caribbean and classical music mostly, he grew up listening to a lot of local music, and also French classics and US R&B and hip hop but practicing the piano, he would also listen to Classical music on a daily basis and he still do.

I am extremely proud of my Caribbean roots and Creole is part of who I am, and it’s what I love.

ANTONNY DREW — Panama

I will always sing in Creole but I start writing a song, I let the words come naturally, whether it’s in Creole, French, English

… I don’t plan for anything.

“Joining Kassav on stage, it definitely marks a turn in my career.”

— LE GRAND MECHANT ZOUK — (GMZ)

Le Grand Méchant Zouk ( which mean The Big Bad Zouk) is a concept by Jacob Desvarieux , one the funding member of the group Kassav’. Le Grand Méchant Zouk continues to evolve in its formula while keeping its editorial line : put together the songs who define the zouk , those from the 80´s to now. It has became over the time the biggest rendez-vous for zouk.

GMZ Live — Guadeloupe

That was a huge honor to be invited by Kassav’ & I am now touring the Caribbean with them, it’s an amazing experience, I feel very grateful!

with Phlylissia Ross — GMZ Rehearsal

“I think there will always be room for zouk music, anywhere in the world it brings joy and makes people dance.“

I don’t think people realise how popular it is and how it is played in so many differents parts of the world.

I LOVE HAITIAN MUSIC ❤️🇭🇹

I’ve had the chance to perform there and meet with my fans, that was a great experience too and I’ll definitely go back there to present my upcoming second album.

FROM NYC TO DUBAÏ

— What kind of feedback you get from your music when you travel?

It’s amazing to see how music has no colour and no frontiers !

I do get really good feedback anywhere I go and it’s my music that takes me to all of these places which is amazing !!

My new single “Vous & Mwen” is now available for streaming and download & I am currently working on my second album due in 2018.

“I am just trying to keep doing music that will touch people.”
